This morning may26,2009 ,Barack Obama chose federal appeals judge sonia sotomayer to be the first hispanic justice on the supreme court.i think the reason it is so important is because he already made history by being the first black president and now he chooses a hispanic to also make history for being the first hispanic woman to be on the supreme court.
